Accommodation, food, welcome, location: all 5 stars. When we next come up here, this is certainly where we will stay. Alison and John

Chicken Massacre

Bit of a tragedy today. A Pine Marten or fox got into the chicken coop overnight and killed all the chickens! Only Dicken (the duck who thinks he is a chicken is left).  Anyone know where I can get more chickens?

Salmon Fishing Season 2010

We had a particularly good salmon season this year. More and more fish are trurning to the River Add now that netting has been stopped at the mouth and off Ireland. In total we had 37 salmon, mostly grilse among six anglers. Now looking forward to the new season which starts in February. Below is a photo of the river in December, full of ice.

Thanks for your warm Highland welcome. A must place to relax and unwind. Also good fishing, sight seeing and field sports location.
Thanks again

Helen and Karl Mercer From Winwick, Cheshire

Just returned from yet another fabulous week at Kirnan. We stayed in the evercosy Torrnaleich and went home significantly more relaxed and refreshed than upon arrival. A great bunch of people to see the New Year in with and Ross and Di’s hospitality was, as ever, second to none. We will return!

Salmon fishing

Salmon fishing has been spectacular this week on our little river.

Eight fish caught including these two by my own hand
