‘ENJOY A DISCOUNTED ‘QUAICH BREAK’ AT KIRNAN THIS WINTER!’
Put the fizz back in your relationship with a sip from the ‘quaich’, the traditional loving cup of Scotland, when you enjoy a discounted break at historic shooting lodge Kirnan House this winter.
Set in five hundred acres of stunning ancient woodland with two private lochs, Kirnan is offering a fifteen per cent discount on short or long breaks this autumn, winter and early spring.
The Quaich Break is offered free with every lodge and cottage. Once the traditional vessel for a welcoming drink at clan gatherings, ‘the quaich’ dates back to the 1660’s, and each person both gives and receives a sip (traditionally of whisky) as a symbol of love and trust. What a way to start the perfect holiday!
Kirnan, near to Lochgilphead in Argyll and just two hours from Glasgow, has three luxurious self-catering lodges with private hot tubs, fire pits, pizza ovens and BBQ cabins, as well as three self-contained cottages sleeping from eight to two people. Our ‘quaich’ is being offered with a whisky cocktail and delicious hand-made chocolates.
This offer is redeemable for short breaks (minimum two night stay) up to week-long visits from October to early March ( excluding Christmas and New Year.)
The house is set among some of the beautiful scenery on the West Coast, close to the famous Kilmartin Glen with the highest concentration of Neolithic landmarks in Europe. Easy access to fabulous hiking trails by the sea and inland, and on clear days enjoy a boat trip out to the islands and the famous Corryvrechan whirlpool. Cycling, riding, kayaking, golf and sailing are all available nearby.
Each lodge and cottage has its own wood burner or open fire, so snuggle down with your ‘quaich’ after a day out in the bracing fresh air, or take a hot tub under the stars next to a flaming fire pit.
Woodcock Lodge sleeps two, Wild Cat and Kirnan Beg lodges can take anything up to five people. Chapel cottage sleeps eight, Heron Cottage sleeps four and Torrnalaich sleeps two.
Our three en suite bed and breakfast rooms also have private access to a large hot tub and BBQ cabin, with cosy breakfasts in front of the log burner in the Boat Shed, which also has an honesty bar.
Treat yourself to a seasonal break at Kirnan, and enjoy roaming in the remote, wild and awe-inspiring landscape of Mid Argyll before settling down with a quaich dram by a roaring log fire.
